Please read the following Real Headshots information and Rules:

THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY TO ALL PHOTO SESSIONS:

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION:

1. 100% payment of the session fee is required to secure the date for your session. Any extras purchased during your visit will be paid at the studio prior to the end of your booking. Bookings over $500.00 are eligible for a 50% deposit payment. Please note that online automated bookings cannot accept 50% deposits. Please contact us if you would like to book with a 50% deposit.

2. Rescheduling of your booking is acceptable 48 hours or earlier before your booking start time. Rescheduling within 48 hours of your booking date/time is not permitted.

3.There are NO REFUNDS for headshot session bookings. If rescheduling is required and the desired rescheduling date is unknown or beyond the scope of what is offered in our calendar, a credit will be issued to be used at a future date.

4. Real Headshots photographers reserve the right to determine the length of time necessary to reasonably complete the photo shoot. If your desired outcome exceeds the scope of the session you have booked, Real Headshots photographers will recommend to extend the session if the schedule permits. The extra time is billed at a rate of $150 per 15 minute increment. If no extra time is available in the schedule, you acknowledge that the session expectations were beyond the scope of the booked session and therefore we can only complete what is feasible in the booked time slot. If you want both head shot and full body shot images, please ensure you select the time extension add on at checkout.

5. Photo sessions that extend beyond the scheduled time will incur additional fees. Photo shoots are billed at a rate of $150+GST per 15 minute increment.

6. All time is billable time. This includes outfit changes, backdrop changes, lighting adjustments, and any other activity relating your time in the studio. Real Headshots photographers are experienced and work very quickly to ensure your time is respected and well spent. We appreciate the same respect from clients to keep on time with the photo session schedule. If you want to take extra time for outfits, hair and make up, or any other activity that will make your experience more enjoyable, we recommend booking longer time slots.

7. In the unlikely event Real Headshots cancels your booking, the limit of liability is restricted to reimbursement of all monies paid to Real Headshots at the time of the cancellation.

LATENESS:

8. If you arrive late you will not be given a time extension. No refunds or price adjustments will be given for arriving late or missing your time slot. Time slots are typically 15-30 minutes – please plan accordingly.

9. If you miss your time slot and Real Headshots has availability to rebook your session on the same date, you will have to pay for a new session fee at full rate.

10. Real Headshots is not responsible to make up for missed time slots. There are no exceptions for problems such as failing to find parking, getting caught in traffic, or weather related lateness. It is your responsibility to allow ample time to arrive at the studio.

LICENSING, COPYRIGHT & MODEL RELEASE:

11. Copyright: All photos taken by Real Headshots employees/independent contractors belong to Real Headshots (Snap YYC Inc.) in perpetuity.

11. Model release: All photos taken by Real Headshots employees/independent contractors can be used in all ways Real Headshots (Snap YYC Inc.) sees fit including but not limited to: advertising campaigns, websites, social media posts, news stories, information brochures and professional portfolios belonging to the photographers. It is acknowledged that you are not entitled to compensation for use of any photographs taken by Real Headshots (Snap YYC Inc.). You can opt out of this model release by submitting a request in writing through our contact form before the start of your session.

12. You are licensed to use images taken by Real Headshots commercially for social media profiles (For example LinkedIn), company and personal websites, business cards, physical and electronic pamphlets, physical and electronic submissions to casting directors, physical and electronic comp cards, and physical and electronic press kits. Please contact Real Headshots to arrange a custom licensing agreement if your desired use and/or publishing falls outside the above listed terms.

13. Additional licensing fees may apply for the use of images in paid advertising campaigns. Paid advertisement licensing fees are calculated based on the scope of the advertising campaign and are custom for each project with most campaigns not incurring any additional licensing fees from Real Headshots. Use of images in paid advertising campaigns without permission may result in Real Headshots billing the client a paid advertising licensing fee. Refusal to pay the paid advertising licensing fee invoice, and/or remove the unlicensed images from the paid advertising campaign will result in escalated action.

14. Real Headshots grants print and usage rights for personal use only. If print images are to be used commercially, please contact Real Headshots to discuss a custom use agreement.

15. Real Headshots does not permit alterations to images without express permission from Real Headshots photographers. This includes but is not limited to professional retouching from outside vendors and social media filters. If you would like your images edited in a certain way, please communicate your request at the end of the photo session.

LOCATION:

16. Real Headshots are held at Studio 342 located in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Willow Park in SE Calgary. Studio 342 is an accessible location.

17. There is free street parking on site. The studio can also be accessed via public transit. Please refer to your booking confirmation for directions to the studio location.

18. Studio 342 has changing areas and a washroom available. Please arrive to your session in your preferred outfit with hair and make up complete. The typical session does not allow time to get ready before your session, or to change during your session (unless additional time is booked).

19.Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your designated time slot. If you arrive to the studio location early, please remain in your vehicle until your designated time slot and refrain from roaming the property and neighbourhood. 

PRICE STRUCTURE & DELIVERABLES:

20. Real Headshots sessions are billed at a rate of $150+GST per 15 minute session + $25 per image.

21. Real Headshots session fees do not include images unless otherwise stated. The quoted price is for session fee only. Images can be purchased at a rate of $25/image. Image purchase price includes full image retouching.

22. Images are delivered in an Amazon Photos link through email. Downloading instructions are provided with the download link. Real Headshots will not upload images to any other file sharing or photo platform.

23. Real Headshots images are delivered in JPEG format. RAW files are not released unless a custom image use agreement has been signed prior to the photo session and the RAW release fee has been paid.

Disclaimer:

It is your responsibility to read and understand these rules prior to booking. You are responsible for informing everyone in your attending party of the session rules. We ask that you bring a great attitude and positive energy to your session and that everyone is ready to participate in order to get the most desirable outcome!
